Bay Division Pipeline Reliability Upgrade Project
Description
The Operator proposes to remove a large stand of eucalyptus trees and other non- native trees and vegetation. Construction activities include installation of fencing, excavation to enlarge and existing pond, removal of a culvert and replacement with a bridge, and establish a connection between the pond and channel. The Project is on 16 acres and includes enhancement of a mixed seasonal wetland, riparian habitat, oak woodland, grassland habitat and other native vegetation. The Project is located within and adjacent to an unnamed tributary to Laguna Creek, which is a tributary to Crystal Springs Reservoir, south of the intersection of Old Canada Road and Runnymede Road in the County of San Mateo. The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2012-0020-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Husam Masri, San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
