SFPUC Lower Crystal Springs Dam Improvement Project

Description

CDFw has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0332-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the SF Public Utilities Commission. The project is part of the mitigation plan for the Lower Crystal Spring Dam Improvements project and is limited to the removal of a total of approx. 213 trees total with approx. 30 trees located within or near the wetland area and removal of nonnative vegetation along an intermittent drainage north of the seep. Monterey pine within the site will be cut and removed to halt encroachment and enhance habitat for sensitive plant species.
