Title: UC Santa Barbara Long Range Development Plan
Description: In response to CA Coastal Commission comments on the Notice of Impending Development for solar photovoltaic energy systems at six campus sites, the Project makes four minor modifications to the UC Santa Barbara Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) and EIR to make two of the six sites consistent with the LRDP and LRDP EIR, as follows: 1. Modifies LRDP EIR Mitigation Measure BIO-3D and language contained within LRDP Policy LU-29 and Appendix 2 to clarify perceived inconsistencies regarding tree removal and replacement requirements for native oak trees. 2. Revises Policy LU-24 to reinforce the exemption of canopy solar systems from building height limits, and add a maximum height limit of such systems of 60 feet.
