Document Description
The Project is a proposed light rail transit line that will extend approximately 14.5 miles from southeast Los Angeles County to a southern terminus in the City of Artesia, traversing densely populated, low-income, and heavily transit-dependent communities. The Project will include 12.1 miles of at-grade and 2.4 miles of aerial alignment, 9 stations and 1 in-fill station, and 5 transit parking facilities. The Project will provide reliable, fixed guideway transit service that will increase mobility and connectivity for historically under-served, transit-dependent communities; reduce travel times on transportation networks; and accommodate substantial future employment and population growth. The Project will provide reliable transit service to meet the future mobility needs of residents, employees, and visitors who travel within the Study Area.
