Title: South Lake Tahoe Safety Project
Description: The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to improve the South Lake Tahoe Safety Project (project) on U.S. Highway 50 in El Dorado County from post mile 75.4 to 80.1. This project proposes to improve roadway lighting and implement a complete street vision for the corridor by installing a green bike lane treatment and enhanced visibility crosswalks. The project will also improve bicycle signage throughout the project limits and install a two-stage turn queue box for bike crossings at multiple locations for additional bicycle safety.
