Occidental County Sanitation District to ALWSZ Wastewater Transport Project

Description

The proposed project would transfer treatment, storage, and disposal of the Occidental County Sanitation District's wastewater to the Airport-Larkfield-Wikiup Sanitation Zone (ALWSZ) wastewater treatment facility (WWTF). These actions would improve the wastewater treatment level from secondary-treatment at the District facilities to a tertiary-treatment level at the ALWSZ facilities. Untreated wastewater would be transported by truck and facility modifications would include the installation of a filing station at the existing OCSD Lift Station and a receiving station at the ALWSZ WWTF. The ALWSZ currently utilizes irrigation and agricultural lands for disposal of tertiary -treated.
