Title: Upper Newport Bay-East Bluff Drainage Repair Project
Description: CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2015-0211-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Orange County Parks. Project is limited to erosion repair and drainage improvements within a bluff on the eastern side of Upper Newport Bay. Activities would include landscape maintenance and vegetation clearing/grubbing, removal/replacement of concrete lining, excavation of a temporary detention basin, trenching for and installation of new pipes, installation of permanent erosion control, subdrain installation, importation of fill materials, the repair and backfill of washouts. Permanent impacts to 0.12 acre of riparian habitat will be mitigated through onsite restoration and enhancement.
