Vestal Fireman Solar Generation Facilities Project

Description

Minor Modification No. MMD 12-029, the requested minor modification to Special Use Permit No. PSP 10-017 is to allow five changes to the site plan: 1) an increase in the size of the SCE Switchyard & Tie-In Substation from one (1) acre to approximately three (3) acres; 2) an optional location for the SCE Switchyard & Tie-In Substation: Option 1 would be the northwest corner of the project site and Option 2 would be the southwest corner of the project site; 3) an alternate route for the above-ground transmission line from the Project site to the SCE Vestal Substation located on the west side of County Route J35 (Richgrove Drive), depending upon in whcih corner the substation is located; 4) a shift to the east in the phse line between Phase 1 (increase from +- 147 acres to +- 180 acres) and Phase 2 (decrease from +-145 acres to +-110 acres); and 5) to allow a seperate entrace off Avenue 32 to access the Phase 2 portion of the project. Phase 1 would increase in size by 33 acres; Phase 2 would decrease in size by 35 acres; the swtichyard substation would increase in size by 2 acres. The size of the whole project would not channge. Pursuant to CEQA guidelines and since no greater environmental impact will be associated with this modification; no public revieew as necessary.
