North Green Valley Interceptor Sewer Upgrade Project

Description

CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1601 (SAA #R5-2003-0160) of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Mr. Mike Bardin, representing Leucadia County Water District. The applicant proposes to alter the streambed of Encinitas Creek tributary to the Pacific Ocean, to accommodate the Leucadia County Water District North Green Valley Interceptor Sewer Project. The project consists of modification to two existing parallel sewer pipelines temporarily impacting 0.14 acre of streambed. Modifications to the sewer facilities includes the installation of an underground infrastructure designated to divert overflows from the older pipeline into the newer pipeline. A total of 300 feet of new pipeline will be constructed using the "cut and cover" open trench method to connect the two rehabilitation of 19 manholes; the construction of five manholes; the replacement of two manholes; and four point repairs to various areas of pipeline along the alignment.
