Mitigated Negative Declaration for the following project: A request for a Conditional Use Permit (DRC2018-00176) to allow for the construction and operation of a wireless communications facility consisting of twelve (12) panel antennas, thirty-six (36) remote radio units, five (5) surge suppression units, two (2) microwave dishes, and associated equipment and hardware, all within a 21-foot 7-inch wide, 30-foot tall cylinder portion of a new 55-foot tall faux elevated water tank within a 46-foot by 30-foot lease area, surrounded by an 8-foot tall wooden fence enclosure. The enclosed lease area includes a 44.5-square-foot equipment shelter, A.C. unit and a backup emergency generator. The proposed project will result in the disturbance of the approximately 1,380 square feet for the lease area, 1,547-square-feet for the access improvements, and 4,590 square feet for the 3-foot-wide, 1,530-foot long utility
trenching on an approximately 37.73-acre parcel. The proposed project is within the Agriculture land use category and is located at 1010 Truesdale Road, approximately 0.7 miles south west of the community of Shandon. The site is in the Shandon-Carrizo
Sub Area of the North County Planning Area.
