Document Description
The project would establish a direct discharge of highly treated wastewater from the City of Lathrop’s CTF to the San Joaquin River to facilitate development consistent with the City’s General Plan. With implementation of the project, treated CTF effluent would be discharged to the river during winter, when irrigation demands are low and river flow is high, and less would be discharged during the irrigation season, when CTF recycled water would be used for landscape irrigation. The project would involve modifications to the CTF to remove chlorine from disinfected effluent to provide for discharge of dechlorinated effluent to the river, installation of effluent pipelines in City roadways, and construction of a new side-bank outfall along the river.
