Document Description
Note: Review Extended Per Lead
The General Development Plan (GDP) was commissioned by the District to investigate the range of recreational opportunities appropriate for the Park through site assessment, master planning, and public outreach. It provides a planning blueprint for conservation, stewardship, and public access to manage the 4,585-acre Park. As stated in the GDP, the Park is to be maintained for public enjoyment and its natural resources protected in perpetuity, and must provide recreation, educational, and research opportunities while conserving and/or restoring the land's valuable natural resources. The preferred alternative, analyzed herein as the GDP, includes improvements and additions to the Park's trail network, renovation and re-use of facilities, an off-leash dog park, and new community involvement and revenue generation opportunities.
