Document Description
UC Davis proposes to develop the Agricultural Innovation Center (AIC) project, which is an approximately 34,400 gross square foot (GSF) multidisciplinary teaching and research facility that supports the advancement of research and innovation for sustainable agriculture in California in central campus off Extension Center Drive. The AIC project site is a generally flat 1.55-acre site, occupied by an existing out-of-use 37-year-old prefabricated office building, small parking lot area, and residual vegetation that has accumulated over time around the perimeter of the site. The building would include various types of laboratory space, general and computer classroom/meeting space, and support and office space to facilitate teaching and research programs. The project would also include transportation improvements to Hutchison Drive, Extension Center Driver, and the bicycle and pedestrian network surrounding the site.
