The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0396-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Mountain Gate Meadows, LLC. The Project consists of a master-planned, mixed-use residential and commercial development within the City of Shasta Lake that totals approximately 583 acres. Residential development ranges from high density, multi-family housing to large-lot housing with densities from 1-4 units per acre. Other land uses include retail, office, and other commercial development, parks, a fire station, a school, and other open space. The Project also includes required off-site infrastructure elements at five locations in the vicinity of the Project site. Off-site improvements include road improvements, utility delivery, and pedestrian access to the site. A number of stream crossings will be constructed, all of which will consist of arch culverts that fully span the drainages. In addition, an intermittent drainage in the northern portion of the Project Area will be placed into a pipe, and the channel filled.
