Title: Cascade Racquet Club Mutual Water Company (CRCMWC) Consolidation Project
Description: The City of Redding will consolidate its existing water system with the CRCMWC water system to serve 27 single family residences in the Cascade Racquet Club Estates Subdivision. One residence in this subdivision is currently served by the City's Water Utility. The CRCMWC's well and distribution system was constructed in 1964 and these facilities are coming to the end of their useful service life. The project entails abandoning the CRCMWC's existing distribution system, installing l,200 feet of new 8-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) water main in Forest Hills Drive, installing 27 water service connections with automated meter registers, and installing three new fire hydrants. It is expected that the CRCMWC well parcel will be conveyed to private ownership. Consolidation will ensure a safe and reliable potable water supply for customers in the CRCMWC service area.
