Description

A Sikh Temple and community assembly center and an on-site detached 3-bedroom residence for resident and short stay priests on a 3.73-acre parcel zoned C1 (Neighborhood Commercial District) with a VOH (Valley Oak Habitat) Combining District. The temple is approximately 11,776 square feet (SF) with assembly spaces for worship and events, a dining hall, kitchen, offices, public restrooms and classrooms for religious instruction and other related use. The on-site employee residence is an approximately 2,137 SF two-story building with an attached garage. The project site will have a total of 160 parking spaces, 32 bicycle parking spaces, and two garage parking spaces. The primary use of the facilities will involve Sunday morning prayer sessions, religious instruction via Sunday school and sharing of food prepared on site for up to 250 guests. Special events, such as but not limited to weddings, are permitted with a maximum of 300 guests and a maximum of 52 scheduled events per year. Special events exceeding 250 people will use a licensed caterer for food service. Standard hours of operation will be from 6am to 12am daily and special events will be limited to 7am to 10pm.
