- Description
- The CA Department of Transportation will make improvements to ten existing chain control turnouts along U.S. 395 and build two new chain control turnouts; one on U.S. 395 near State Route 203 (Mammoth Lakes), and the other on U.S. 06 near Slim Princess Road (Chalfant). Due to increased winter traffic, existing chain control areas can become crowded during peak times. Improvements include new signage, expanded chain control areas, and the addition of flashing beacons and lighting.
