Ramona Pipeline Erosion Repair Project (Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2018- 0292-R5)

Description

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0292-RS, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Ramona Municipal Water District. Project activities Include stabilization of an existing pipeline easement/access road to prevent erosion from undermining two parallel water lines - one above ground pipeline and another subsurface pipeline. The project will require the import of rock to reconstruct the eroded slope and stabilize the access road. The existing Poway Pump Station will be used as a staging area and materials storage area. A track-wheeled excavator will transport materials to and from the work site along the existing access road and right-of-way, Geotextile fabric will be used to line the excavated area which will then be backfilled with light-class rock using Caltrans Method A, which requires individual placement of rocks. The limits of the repair activity and placement of rock would extend beyond the immediate scoured area to protect the area from future scour damage.
