Shasta College Facilities Master Plan Amendment One Initial Study & Mitigated Negative Declaration

Description

The May 2018 Facilities Master Plan Amendment One proposes using Measure H bond funding (to the max extent available) for existing building & infrastructure demolition (170,386 sf), building & infrastructure renovations (309,274 sf), new building & infrastructure construction (55,170 sf) and proposed future building sites with infrastructure (143,220 sf). There are four building renovation/new construction phases; I (2019-2020), II (2021-2025), III (2026-2030), and IV (Post 2030). In addition pedestrian, vehicular, parking, landscaping, water, sewer, storm drain, natural gas, electrical and technological improvements are proposed. Initial new construction will increase the number of buildings to 85, increase building sizes to 509,484 sf. If future Phase IV building sites are ever constructed, 642,453 sf will result.
