Title
Potrero Power Staton Mixed-Use Development Project
Description
Note: See EIR for full project description. The Potrero Power Station Mixed-Use Development Project is located on an approx 29.0-acre site along San Francisco's central bayshore waterfront, encompassing the site of the former Potrero Power Plant that closed in 2011. California Barrel Company LLC, the project sponsor, seeks to redevelop the site for a proposed multi-phased, mixed use development, and activate a new waterfront open space. The proposed project would rezone the site, establish land use controls, develop design standards, and provide for development of residential, commercial [including office, R&D/life science, retail, hotel, and PDR, parking, community facilities, and open space land uses. The proposed project would include amendments to the GP and Planning Code, creating a new Potrero Power Station Special Use District. The proposed rezoning would modify the existing height limits of 40 and 65 ft to various heights ranging from 65-300 ft. Overall, the proposed project would construct up to approx 5.3 M gsf, of uses, including between approx 2.4 and 3.0 M gsf of residential uses (~2,000 to 3,000 dwelling units), between approx 1.2 and 1.9 M gsf of commercial facilities. Most new buildings would range in height from 65-180 ft, with one building at 300 ft. Approx 6.3 acres would be devoted publicly accessible open space.
