Description
DTSC directed development of a Removal Action Workplan to address removal of contaminated soils at the proposed New Campus Project, Borello Elementary School (Site) prior to development as a school. The property consists of approx. 9.0 acres located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Peet Road and Mission Avenida in the City of Morgan Hill, Santa Clara County, CA. The Site is identified by APNs 728-55-015, -016, and a portion of 728-55-017. The Site is currently undeveloped, and the adjacent properties to the north, south, and west sides are currently residential development or planned development. The Santa Clara Valley Water District Coyote Pump Station is located east of the Site. The Morgan Hill Unified School District plans to construct an Elementary School located on the Site that will serve 600 students in grades K-6, with 27 classrooms onsite. any required soil import and placement will be conducted in conjunction with the project civil and geotechnical engineers during construction; therefore, specific import and placement/compaction recommendations are not considered part of the RAW.
