Title: Big Canyon Well Final Design Project
Description: The proposed project would install a new well (Big Canyon well) to replace the District's existing Diamond-D well as the primary source of water for the area. Historically, the Diamond-D well has been the primary source of water; however, the district seeks to provide a more reliable water supply for the existing and anticipated population of Middletown by replacing the Diamond-D well with the proposed Big Canyon well and associated infrastructure. The proposed project would include a new well and concrete building pad; a paved access road and 20-ft access easement; a pump house around the well with an emergency generator and disinfection system; an approx 10,000 sf parking area; and the installation of approx 2,600 ft of an 8-in water main, part of which would be hung off the existing bridge over Putah Creek.
