Title
Veterinary Medical Center Vision
Description
UC Davis proposes the VMC Primary Electrical Feeders project as part of the implementation of the Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) Vision Plan to renovate and expand the existing William R. Pritchard Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VMTH). The VMC Primary Electrical Feeders project proposes to install a new feeder between the Health Science District (HDS) electrical switchgear and the H switchgear to provide redundancy and allow for full utilization of the HSD switchgear. This feeder will be a minimum of (12) 5.0 inch conduits and concrete encased. The alignment proposes an underground route from the existing Health Science's Switch Gear Building south along the Equestrian Lane, south of the Arboretum to connect to conduits running under Old Davis Road. The proposed primary electrical feeder lines would connect with the existing lines on campus. The Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) Vision Project Tiered Initial Study (TIS) and Mitigated Negative Declaration included the VMC Primary Electrical Feeders project and evaluated the environmental effects of the VMC Vision projects implemented within the existing VMTH complex.
