Las Positas College 2012 Facilities Master Plan

Description

Project includes completing improvements to a 28-acre area of the Las Positas College campus by demolishing two older buildings, constructing six academic buildings, completing improvements to athletic fields and facilities, and rebuilding vehicle circulation, parking lots, and entries. Building construction will occur on 11.1 acres of developed land. Construction of the Sports Recreational Area will occur on 16.9 acres including 15.5 acres of non-native grassland and 1.4 acres of developed land uses northeast of Campus Loop. The Project will result in impacts to 15.5 acres of CA tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) habitat; the Project will permanently remove 15.5 acres of CA tiger salamander habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of CA tiger salamander, which is designated as a threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
