Title: Pinto Lake Restoration Project
Description: CDFW has executed lake and streambed alteration agreement no. 1600-2016-0362-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to the city of Watsonville as represented by Charles Montonya. Alum and sodium aluminate application is being implemented as a restorative method to inactive phosphorus, which has produced toxic cyanobacteria within Pinto Lake's water column. Toxic cyanobacteria have caused wildlife fatalities as well as the closure of Pinto Lake.
