Argent Materials West Sacramento Recycle Site Project

Description

The proposed project includes a CUP for the development and operation of a concrete and asphalt recycling yard. Project components consist of concrete crushing, material stockpiling, and associated project infrastructure including water and stormwater services, roadway improvements, and electrical extensions. The proposed project would allow for the intake, processing, and recycling of demolition materials from the surrounding areas. The proposed project would employ three full-time employees. Hours of operation would occur between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM, 260 days per year. Night operations would be conducted as need for a maximum of 20 days per year. Trucking for the site would generally be based on the construction activity in the area. The total number of truck trips per day would fluctuate to keep up with demand; however, 56 truck trips per day were assumed for analysis purposes. Access to the site would be provided by one main entrance and one secondary entrance on Sutter Avenue. During project operations, public access would be controlled by fencing and the construction of gates at the site entrances per Cal-OSHA requirements, and locked during non-operating hours.
