Title

Event Center and Mixed-Use Development at Mission Bay Blocks 29-32

Description

On 7/27/2015, the University of CA executed an Easement Modification Agreement (Project) between the UC Regents and GSW Arena LLC (Warriors) that permits the Warriors to install a gatehouse, certain signage, and kiosks that result in a minor intrusion into the Vera Block View Easement corridor. This action was included as part of the GSW Event Center and Mixed-Use Development project at Mission Bay, for which a FSEIR was prepared and Findings were adopted by the SF Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure (OCII) on Nov. 5, 2015. With respect to this development, OCII is acting as the lead agency, while the University is acting as a responsible agency under CEQA. The University has considered the FSEIR and finds that all potential environmental effects of the project and a reasonable range of alternatives to the project as proposed were adequately evaluated in the FSEIR, and that no further environmental review pursuant to CEQA section 21166 and CEQA Guidelines section 15162 is required. The University further finds that no additional mitigation measures, beyond those already incorporated into the Project through the FSEIR, are necessary or available to address the environmental impacts of the Project that the University has approved.
