Parkhill Fuel Reduction Project
Description
The project includes approximately 1,331 acres of roadside brush removal along 52 miles of designated truck trails, ranch roads, highways, and throughout selected fuel breaks and reduced fuel zones to reduce the wildfire threat. Accomplished by strategically removing dead and small diameter trees, shrubs, and brush. The project will utilize a variety of fuel treatment techniques and may include any or all of the following as specified: felling, removing, and disposing of dead and dying trees and snags, hand crew fuel treatment with chain saws, mechanical mastication (shredding), chipping, brush/slash pile mastication, lopping and scattering, pile burning, and road grading.
