Rancho Guejito Farm Road Restoration and Revegetation Plan

Description

CDFW is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (#1600-2014-0006-R5) to the project applicant, Ranch Guejito Corporation. Prior to submitting the Notification of Lake or Streambed Alteration to CDFW, applicant graded a road approximately 6,040 linear feet in length, crossing five unnamed tributaries to Guejito creek, with loose fill materials being pushed into the channels. Project activities include the removal of this fill, and restoration of the stream beds, banks, and channels to as near their pre-grading condition as possible. The project also includes remedial grading along one portion of the fill slopes from prior grading activities, with rock to be placed at the base of the fill slopes outside the stream bed to help stabilize the base of the slope. Pursuant to Regional Water Quality Control Board Cleanup and Abatement Order No. R9-2013-009, habitat restoration and establishment will be conducted within a degraded portion of the Cloverdale Creek (restoration site).
