Title
Medford Island Levee Rehabilitation Project
Description
The project proposes to rehabilitate the entire levee system on Medford Island. The project includes both landside and waterside work. Landside work involves raising the levee crown and stabilizing the slope by placing fill material on the landside levee toe, slope and crown. There will be a new all-weather road built along the levee crown. Waterside work involves repairing waterside bank protection (rock revetment) for erosion control along most of the levee, primarily above Mean High Water. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2014-0228-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Jeffrey Weinstein, Reclamation District 2041.
