Document Description
Reclamation District No. 2041 plans to rehabilitate Medford Island's entire levee system, approximately 5.9 mi in length, to achieve a sustainable Hazard Mitigation Plan cross-section standard, which requires levee crown elevations at one foot above the 100-year flood elevation. The proposed Project includes landside and waterside work. Landside work involves raising the levee crown and stabilizing the slope by placing fill material on the levee toe, slope, and crown. There will be a new all-weather road built along the levee crown. Waterside work involves repairing waterside bank protection (rock revetment) for erosion control along most of the levee, typically above Mean High Water.
