Title
Lewiston Community Services District Water Treatment and Storage Improvements Project
Description
The Department's Safe Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Program and Safe Drinking Water Proposition 50 Program are both providing state funds for the project. The Lewiston Community Services District proposes to construct a new water treatment plant, treated and finished water pipelines, and new water storage tank. The existing water treatment system uses in-line filtration, which is no longer an approved technology. A new water treatment plant would be constructed to house a new water filtration system. A new treated water pipeline would extend east to a new 315,000 gallon capacity water storage tank. A new finished water pipeline would extend from the new tank to the distribution system. The existing water treatment plant and storage tanks would be dismantled and removed from the project area.
