Title: Restoration of the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias
Description: FYI Final The Restoration of the mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias FEIS presents and analyzes four alternatives to restore natural conditions and improve visitor experience and access to the Mariposa Grove. The primary purpose of the project is to restore ecological processes, increase the resiliency of the Grove to withstand emerging stressors, and improve the overall experience for visitors. Additional project goals are to protect resources; enhance interpretation of natural and cultural resources; improve wayfinding and safety; and meet accessibility requirements consistent with existing law. Efficiencies in energy and water use, and reduced use of non-renewable resources are incorporated into the project.
