Document Description
NOTE: Record of Decision: The primary purpose of the proposed project is to implement actions and management policies to address conditions at the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias that are contributing to alteration of natural systems that support the giant sequoias, wetlands, and associated wildlife and other plant communities and the degradation of cultural resources, and that affect the quality of visitor experience. The project is intended to conserve and protect natural and cultural resources at the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias for the enjoyment of current and future visitors, and to implement National Park Service (NPS) policies and support the goals established for the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias and the South Entrance in the 1980 General Management Plan for Yosemite National Park.
