Title
Twin Cities Road Widening Project
Description
The proposed project was originally approved on August 3, 2011 and consists of adding a westbound lane on Twin Cities Road from east of Fermoy Way to Bergeron Road resulting in two lanes in both the eastbound and westbound direction, as well as modifying the Twin Cities/Fermoy Way intersection, approaches and transitions. The ~length of improvements, including turn pockets and tapers, is 1,800 feet. The existing drainage ditches along the northern boundary of the improvement area could be relocated and/or modified to be piped underground. A short row of trees existing along the northeastern border of the improvement area, which may be removed with implementation of the proposed project. The project was subsequently modified to include ~one week of nighttime construction which was not contemplated in the original project description and adopted IS/MND. Consequently, a CEQA Addendum was prepared in accordance with CEQA Guidelines Section 15164 to address the potential noise impacts of one week of nighttime construction. Additional mitigation was also adopted.
