Description

The City of Soledad is proposing to adopt a Specific Plan to regulate use, design, architectural, and street and block standards in the City's downtown and surrounding areas. The purpose of the proposed Specific Plan is to provide a comprehensive vision for the redevelopment and revitalization of the Plan Area that is consistent with the historical importance of the area. Objectives of the project are to create: a vibrant hub for commercial activity, entertainment, and hospitality; a pedestrian-oriented downtown; a compact, mixed-use downtown that capitalizes on existing resources; a memorable place; economic vitality; neighborhood preservation; and historic preservation/rehabilitation.
