Tujunga Spreding Grounds Enhancement Project

Description

CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0038-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Los Angeles County Flood Control District. Project is limited to the constructing two new sets of diversion gates (proposed as diversion gates Number (No.) 2 and 3 and corresponding intake structures at each gate within Tujunga Wash Channel. the purpose of the project is to increase the intake capacity of the Tujunga spreading grounds by increasing volume of surface water diverted by approx. 4,000 acre feet resulting in annual average amount diverted around 12,200 acre feet of surface water from Tujunga Wash and Pacoima Diversion Channel.
