Title

Stream Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2011-0056-R4 for the Bob Jones Bike Trail Bridge Project, San Luis Obispo River

Description

The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code for the Bob Jones Bike Trail Bridge Project. The Project is the construction of 800 feet of Class l bike and pedestrian trail (12 feet wide with 2-foot shoulders on each side) that includes installation of a 130-foot long, 10 feet wide, and single-span steel truss prefabricated bridge with Portland cement concrete deck to span over Prefumo Creek. It will be supported on concrete abutments located on top of ban and constructed on driven steel pile foundations. To install the abutments and approaches, 18 Pacific Willows over 4-inches diameter and two (2) Arroyo willows over 4-inches diameter will be removed and mitigated for with plantings. All work will occur outside of the wetted channel and no water will be diverted or drafted at the site during the course of construction. Equipment used will include a backhoe, bar bender, clam shovel, compactor, compressor, concrete mixer truck, concrete pump truck, crane, flatbed truck, generator, impact pile drive, pavement scarifier, paver, pickup truck, pneumatic tools, roller, scraper, and welder/torch. The California Department of Fish and Game ("CDFG") has determined the Project is subject to regulation pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1600 et seq.
