Title
Fresno-Clovis Southern Water Intertie Project-Leonard Avenue, Ashlan Avenue to the Gould Canal
Description
The City of Clovis proposes to install underground pipe 16 inch in diameter, to connect the public water system of the City of Fresno with the public water system of the City of Clovis. The Project consists of installing the pipeline beneath existing public roads, beginning at the intersection of Ashlan Avenue and Leonard Avenue, proceeding south along Leonard Avenue. The line proceeds on the west side of the roadway ~2,900 ft south of Ashlan Avenue (paralleling Dog Creek) to a water valve station at the south side of the Gould Canal and connects to the existing Fesno system on the south side of the Gould Canal. The City will need to acquire ~1,753 sf of additional right-of-way to accommodate the water valve station. The Project will occur partially in the City of Clovis and partially in Fresno County, but entirely within the Clovis Sphere of Influence. The Project also includes the installation of an underground pipe, 12 inches in diameter, to provide the City of Fresno the use of recycled water. The pipe would be installed beneath the east side of Leonard Avenue beginning at the intersection of Ashlan Avenue and Leonard Avenue proceeding south and end at the south side of the Gould Canal. The City of Fresno will provide future connection.
