Title: Russian River County Sanitation District (RRCSD) Disinfection Upgrade Project
Description: The project consists of replacing the chlorine disinfection process with an ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system. The system will use low pressure/high intensity lamps for disinfection. The lamps will be housed in an open channel with a horizontal configuration. The water will be treated to tertiary level in accordance with Title 22 standards. Coagulation and flocculation facilities will be constructed to further remove solids prior to UV disinfection and covers will be constructed on top of the perimeter of the existing clarifer where algae is greatest. The Project will be located at the current WWTP.
