Title
Western Riverside County Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Enhancement and Expansion Project
Description
FYI: Addendum Note: Review Per Lead WRCRWA intends to change the operation of its bio solids handling facilities by installing piping to pump the waste activated sludge directly from the secondary clarifiers the centrifuges for dewatering and bypassing the aeration digestion process entirely. It is proposed to do this on a trial basis for up to one month to validate its effectiveness. Should at any time during the one month trial the effectiveness criteria are not met, WRCRWA would disconnect the bypass piping and switch back to the single digester operation that is currently being utilized. Should the trial results meet the effectiveness criteria, WRCRWA would request that the South Coast Air Quality Management District extend the trial period until Digester 1 is fully operational as an aerobic digester.
