Title: Mill Creek Acquisition Forest Ecosystem Restoration & Protection Project
Description: Young, unnaturally dense forest plantations will be thinned to maintain growth of desirable trees and adjust stand structure and species composition to resemble historical old-growth forests for the area. Thinning prescriptions will be tailored to meet both interim and long-term objectives for enhancing wildlife habitat, natural forest processes, and aesthetic values. Thinning will occur on approximately 1200 acres and will be coordinated with ongoing road decommissioning project.
