Title: Former Lake Elsinore MGP Site
Description: Pursuant to authority granted under Chapter 6.8, Division 20, California Health and Safety Code (H&SC), the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is proposing to approve a draft Removal Action Workplan (RAW) for remediation of polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), some metals, and cyanide contaminated soil at the former Gas Manufacturing Plant site located at 227 Flint Street, Lake Elsinore, CA. The draft RAW was prepared in accordance with H&SC Section 25356.1. If approved, the RAW would allow for the following activities: Excavation of contaminated soil, stockpiling of soil for confirmation sampling, transporting excavated contaminated soil to an off-site facility for disposal or treatment, by truck, backfill of excavation area following final confirmation sampling with clean fill material imported from outside location.
