Title
Bickford Ranch/Antelope Canal PLX 1816 Water Conveyance System
Description
The project will construct improvements to the existing Antelope Canal/Clover Valley Reservoir raw water conveyance system to deliver water to the proposed new Bickford Ranch Reservior, with pipelines to and around the existing Clover Valley Reservoir (CVR) to have the ability to bypass either or both reservoirs. The existing canal will be extended approximately 200 feet and water diverted into a new inlet structure to convey the water through an enclosed inflow pipeline along the slope, under the Union Pacifice Railroad line, and then extending in an easterly direction across Clover Valley Creek to discharge into the new Bickford Ranch Reservoir. The new Bickford Ranch Reservior will have a height of sixteen (16) feet with an approximate storage capacity of 11 acre feet. An outflow pipeline from the Bickford Ranch Reservior will extend westerly (parrallel to a portion of the inflow line) to and around the existing CVR to the reservoir outlet works. The upper end (approximately 200 lineal feet) of the eroded canal will be back filled with approximately 5,000 cubic yards of earth fill and rip rap to form a solid base for construction of the new pipeline diversion structure.
