Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 9 1601(9) of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Caltrans. The applicant proposes the following scope of work: Site 1. Minor wiork, including culvert replacement, fill, vegetation removal and grading, will be required in Cottonwood Creek at three to six locations where the creek crosses and/or is adjacent to the highway. Site 2. This section of the project will construct a 40-foot conventional highway on a new alignment parallel and east of the existing State Route 41. After new construction, the old pavement will be removed. An existing 2.4 X 1.2 meter concrete box culvert at Avenal Creek will be replaced with a new 19 meter spanning structure. In the new alignment, eleven culverts draining tributaries to Avenal Creek will be removed and replaced.
