Improvement and Stabilization to the Slopes adjacent to OCTA Rail Milepost 195
Description
The California Department of Fish and Game has issued an Agreement Regarding Proposed Stream Alteration to the Orange County Transportation Authority in conjunction with the applicant's proposal to alter the streambed to construct a bank stabilization project along 1,887 feet of Oso Creek, impacting 2.65 acres of stream, vegetated with willow riparian, mulefat scrub, cattails and exotic species. The current width of the stream ranges from 39 feet to 94, with an approximate average of 60 feet wide. The proposed project would expand the corridor to approximaely 250 feet. Mitigation measures include the creation of more than 5.3 acres of riparian habitat within the approximate 10-acre recreated stream.
