The project proposes a General Plan Amendment to update existing conditions when the Plan was originally prepared; to revise goals, policies, and programs to address constraints and new opportunities; to modify wording of the goals and polices to provide better clarity and readability; and to include new discussions on topical issues that have arisen (i.e. Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Healthy Communities, Placer County Conservation Plan, Complete Streets, and Low Impact Design) since the Plan was originally prepared in 1989.
