Document Description
The proposed work consists of 6 mud-rotary borings and 14 sonic borings to inform the feasibility of constructing the Daguerre Point Dam Nature-Like Fishway Project. The mud-rotary technique will be used in areas with residual native soil over bedrock and will include both drive sampling and rock coring. The sonic drilling technique will be used to penetrate and sample the gravels and cobbles that make up the existing dredge tailing mounds. Drilling mud and waste will be disposed of at an existing spoil disposal site outside of the Yuba River Designated Floodway. The borings will be backfilled with cement grout using the tremie method. Access routes will be established with minor grading and vegetation clearing.
