Martin Avenue Properties has made an application for exemption for the Martin Backup Generating Facility (MBGF) and Martin Data Center (MDC) (22-SPPE-03) proposed in the city of Santa Clara at 651 Martin Avenue. Together the MBGF and the MDC constitute the “project” under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The project would consist of one four-story data center 483,000 square foot building, an onsite substation and an onsite switching station (to be owned and operated by Silicon Valley Power (SVP)), generator equipment yard (constituting the MBGF), surface parking and landscaping, and a recycled water pipeline extension. The CEC is requesting your comments on the proposed project.
