Document Description
The project involves the construction and operation of a TK to eighth grade charter school. Once completed, the school campus will house a total of up to 700 students, 60 school staff, and multiple school buildings and facilities. In addition to a 1.79-acre shallow infiltration basin, the new campus would occupy approximately 10.03 acres on the northern half of the approximately 26-acre project site. The remainder of the project site would remain undeveloped desert land. The 21,400 square-foot, one-story main school building would feature the TK and Kindergarten classrooms, a multipurpose room, school library, school kitchen, science room, janitorial and storage rooms, teacher lounges and workspaces, restrooms, administrative and health offices, and reception area. The remaining classrooms for first to eighth graders would be developed as classroom pods, for a total of 38 pods. Other Project components, include campus amenities and facilities; vehicular access and circulation improvements (both on- and offsite); surface parking areas and drive aisles; pedestrian access and circulation improvements; various landscape, hardscape, and lighting improvements; and infrastructure and utility improvements.
